Nelly busted!

 Cops find heroine, cannabis and loaded gun.

Rapper Nelly was detained near the Mexico border after cops discovered a loaded gun and drugs stash on his tour bus.

Nelly, christened Cornell Iral Haynes Jr was born on the 2 of November 1974. The Grammy Award winning rapper, entrepreneur and occasional actor began his rise to fame in 1999 when he got signed to Universal records with rap group St Lunatics. Under Universal, Nelly began his solo career in 2000 with his debut album Country Grammar, the title track of which was a top ten hit. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and went on to peak at number one. From then on it was a steady rise to fame and stardom. He won the Grammy Awards in 2003 and 2004 and had a supporting role in the 2005 remake film “The Longest Yard” with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock. As entrepreneur, he owns Vokal and Apple Bottoms clothing lines.

Of recent is this drugs burst we are relaying to you.  Us checkpoint officers dozens of sachets of heroin and a duffel bag containing over 4.5kg of cannabis during a routine stop on Wednesday evening in Sierra Blanca, Texas. As if not enough, a loaded .45 caliber pistol was discovered amongst the drugs.

He was later released but the police arrested one of his seven-strong entourage, who took responsibility for the items.

In a statement released yesterday, Nelly, 37, said: “It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest. “Neither I nor anyone else on the bus was aware of this decision to bring it onboard.”

Apparently singer Willie Nelson and Rapper Snoop Dogg were reported to have been stopped at the same location earlier this year on suspicion of carrying controlled substances.
